Jean is a great teacher. Clearly explains everything she is doing. I am not sure I quite get her portraits. The other teachers I've been watching are into realistic portraits and I want to watch another of hers to understand her style. I work in mixed media also, but I will have to get used to it in portraits.

I just LOOoooOOooOooved Jean, and this painting process!! She is such a beautiful and patient person, as she explains each step extremely clearly.
You know, there is something I always say, which is, most artists who teach on videos (I've seen sooo many) do not actually want to give away their secrets. So, they end up telling the viewers disjointed instructions, or they skip over important details --especially neglecting to tell us *why* they make certain marks in order for us to actually *learn* the technique, so we can apply it to future projects. ---Jean calmly explains it all!! I really, really learned form this beautiful video! So wonderful!!
I recommend her fully. I have one of her books and it is done very well, too. I always thought that it would be great to see her teach in person. -- Now, I have!! THANK YOU for this truly wonderful gem!!! …Jean Pederson, you are truly one of the best!! ~
