This looks great!
Hello Scott,
Here is my sunflower in graphite. There were so many complicated, abstract forms, that after while I forgot that I was drawing a sunflower.
Great work! I love the variety of marks and the delicacy of the flower.
Scott, I bought some color pencils to try and I thought this was a good project to try the colors. I hope this uploads. I used Prismcolor pencils.
Support to Ukraine
I know this isn’t a sunflower and it’s not graphite but I wanted to post the bird of paradise that I did today !!
Hello Scott,
I really liked the play between light and shadow. I tried to emphasize this as much as possible.
A great reference photo, thank you!
Kind regards Pia
Great job! I’m glad to read those comments about the play between light and shadow. You managed that well!
Seeing if it works now
Here’s my final sunflower! Thank you all for joining!
Hi Scott… still greatly enjoying your sessions. Thank you for the inspiration for doing the sunflower. I still follow along but basing my drawings on photos that more or less match your subje t, as in this version of the sunflower. Hope for Peace for Ukraine.
This is great, Claude! Lovely texture and light. And a wonderful composition!
Different drawing it in black and white. Have done sunflowers before always in color.
I finally finished my sunflower and it won’t let me publish. It took me a very long time better late than never.
The sunflower is very complex – lots of petals. Next time I would start the center seed area with straight lines and then work to curves like Scott demonstrated. I enjoyed the whole drawing especially the leaves and the unique petals.
The Derwent retractable eraser is very nice. I found mine at Jackson’s Art Supplies.
Here’s my sunflower. I haven’t completed the duck yet but from the video it looks like I will get a chance to practice curves starting from straight lines.
This looks great, Sarah! Beautiful light!

I’m mostly finished with the sunflower. I tried for accuracy. I like it anyway! It’s graphite pencil in Bristol
Thank you Scott for another great tutorial, I found this more challenging than the earlier charcoal sunflower, but equally enlightening with good tips.
Hello Scott, for some reason I could not upload the picture of the drawing in the men’s profile episode. I am going to perform a test and try to attach men’s profile here. i am still working on the sunflower. Urszula
My sunflower. Peace to Oekraïne and the world.
The sunflower I drew.
This drawing really pushed me to work through it. I got lost in the petals several times. Happy to support Ukraine with the Sunflower.
Uploading picture. Hopefully works this time.
I could have spent more time on the center but stopped there. Only wish the dark halo wasn’t so bad.
