My moonrise:
Thanks for another great episode!
Here is my iguana since we are posting them here. I’m pretty happy with the iguana.
I don’t like uploading this on the wrong page, but here’s my iguana.
Well I’m not sure if I resolved the “mud” I accidentally created in the foreground, but I tried to use negative drawing to fix it. It’s still rather flat looking. But I like my moon! Lol.
By the way, I’ve been trying to upload my iguana drawing for weeks and it seems to be a faulty link—keeps going to YouTube instead.
I didn’t put it down I kept working on it. I still haven’t captured the feeling of trees, buts it’s better than it was.
This has not turned out as I would have wanted. The more I work on it doesn’t seem to help much. I have to leave this a while and give it a rest and go back to it in a few days. If you have any suggestions, please suggest!
Thank you again for another thought provoking lesson. I really like experimenting along with you and folks.
I played with the light, and à stream/ river came out of the gloom. Much fun!!!!Merci!
I finished the moonrise several days ago and have been enjoying it. I love the range of values from the dark pine forest to the white moon. The Pearl Grey Stonehenge paper is so beautiful for this drawing. I worked hard to represent the deciduous trees (or shrubs) in the foreground. Toward then end of the drawing I corrected the sky lighting so it was horizontal rather than following the contour of the hill. I did have trouble erasing on Stonehenge paper to correct the sky lighting, and that really shows up on the scan. The original is much more beautiful than the scan.
This is great! Lovely quality of light!

Falling a bit behind here! Here’s my duck… Comments appreciated. Thank you, Scott!
Very nice work with this!
Thanks so much for challenging me…look forward to my Wednesdays and has motivated me to get back into drawing and painting…most of them need major improvement…which keeps me practicing! Thanks from Delray Beach Fl.
Great job with all of these drawings!
The lighter photo.
This looks great!
The sketch of Van Gogh was too dark. Therefore I upload it again.
Best regards Pia
Hello Scott,
Thank you for the endless challenge especially with the iguana. These numerous structures are always a tough nut to crack.
Kind regards, Pia
You’re doing great!
I have a few from before when the upload wasn’t publishing.
This looks great. I love the mark making!
This is very different from what I am used to drawing.
Very nice work!
Hi Scott,
the photograph is too dark. So I uploaded my sketch again.

Sorry, it doesn’t work. I will try it later.

Hello Scott,
finally I dared to fix the sketch with milk. It’s a nice new experience. I will also upload the iguana and the moon later.
Thank you for the many tips and the challenges.
Kind regards, Pia
