Way after the actual event – I came across this on the web and was intrigued by trying my hand at an iceberg. So here’s the results! (Hmm, I’m not sure it uploaded – I can’t see it before I post.)
This looks great! Nice use of subtle color.
Nice adaptation!
Very nice work!
This looks great! Thanks for sharing the materials you used. The light in this is wonderful!
Beautiful work!
This looks great! Amazing texture!
Nice work!
Thanks for catching that, Carole! I’ve updated the link on this page with the correct reference image. I can’t wait to see your drawing!
Hi Scott,
Could you please repost the Iceberg reference image for Episode 73. The dog from the prior episode is showing up instead. I finally got my tinted charcoal pencils and would love to do this episode. Thanks, Carole
Merci. I like the presence your drawing brings…. which Scott also captured very well.
Best wishes for the new year!
I too don’t know how to flip..
A very unique subject-and challenging! I made mine a bit too large, and I saw the shape was off a bit late in the game. Lol. Love using a bit of color but still finding those Derwent tinted charcoal very difficult to work with. Thanks for another great lesson!
This is beautiful, Claude! So ethereal.
I used charcoal pencils on gray paper with white charcoal for highlights. The toned paper is becoming a favorite of mine thanks to your inspiration. Loved the topic. I always look forward to seeing what you chose and why.
Awesome. Love your polar bear!!!
Hi Scott. Missed the live event. Thank you for posting the recording. Tried using solely the Prismacolor Premier coloured pencils, erasers, on DeSerres Fabriano white mixed media paper. Blending coloured pencils is very time consuming, so very little was done, in order to be able to keep up. Great fun trying this….. and looking forward to the bridge!
I did mine in graphite on white sketch paper also used ebony pencil on the darkest water
My Iceberg was horrible, then I saw the polar bear inside the ice. Awesome discovery.
Sorry but I don’t know how to flip picture .
