Another fun challenge! I’m happy with the building angles, but was unable to get the stones to have much detail.
thank you for the video! i found it’s eXtremely hard to draw the texture of the stone wall.
It’s funny you mentioned this was not your photo and you haven’t traveled to get shots in Europe. I wish I could get some there too. I am going to go through my daughters album because she is well travelled.
I enjoyed this on and hope to do more like it. Perhaps I can translate it into watercolor.
Thanks so much for these vidoes. I only started with charcoal for this series. The rockwork around the door was the door was tough. I tried to correct proportion and got lost for a while.
I love drawing buildings. The texture in this drawing was challenging. Getting the lines of perspective was very difficult. I gave up on sighting and used the vanishing point for the building on the right.
Hi Scott,
I was hesitant to post the drawing, but finally decided to do. Not too happy with it, because the values are too similar all over the drawing.
Nevertheless, that was a great learning experience.

Thank you for sharing this! I like the way the tooth of the paper helps to show the texture.
This looks great! I love the sensitivity of the marks!
I loved the image and the project, but I don’t like working with charcoal! I’ll try it again with graphite. Thanks, Scott!
Another wonderful session, where you put it all out there and create very good inspiration for us. Thank you for another great session! This continues to be a weekly highlight.
Another very enjoyable get together. I tried the watercolor paper because of the texture and love the results.
