This looks great, Alicia!
Getting better at observing! Thanks for the great lesson.
I’m always a little behind like two weeks but I will catchup eventually. Stay safe everyone!
I did mine today in a regular sketchbook. Not real bright lightning, but pleased with it. Used a general 9xx b pencil.
First time drawing lighting! Thanks for another great episode!
Beautiful!
Hi!Here is my lightning!

Thanks, Claude! I love this! Nice touch with the birds, and the technique you used for the lightning works beautifully.

Great job here, Marianna! I love seeing a bit of your work space, too!
First I said to my self, meh, dark clouds over flat land, zzzzzzz
I really got into it. I used the willow and then unified, I used the 6B char, but, I changed my grip.
I stop at this version. Rest, and will probably push more charcola. TY for the stream of your perspective.
Oops there it is.
I can not upload my drawing?
This was fun, no worries about proportion or perspective and then the icing on the cake…lighting.
Upps, somehow, the file did not get attached. Here it is.

Hello Scott,
Today I used Strathmore Toned Gray sketch paper, 9×12. I tried to use charcoal pencils, but was not able to erase, or blend the marks. So I created the whole drawing using vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, and white charcoal pencil. Not quite satisfied with results, but it was a good practice.
Thank you for interesting session, as usual.

When the topic of composition came up, I was looking all over for this quote. Finally found it!
From Guy Tal Photography:
“The Rule of Thirds:
Divide your frame into an evenly-spaced 3×3 grid. If placing your subject at any of the intersection points doesn’t work; place it somewhere else.”
Had lots of fun with this drawing. I even stuck with charcoal this time!
That’s suppose to say I’m getting more comfortable working with charcoal.
Here’s my drawing. I’m getting more working with charcoal. Thanks for all the tips.
Awesome subject! Loved doing this. I used only graphite and a couple different erasers. Thank you, Scott!
Thanks Scott. I enjoyed competing this one.
Great Scott. A few things different: the first thing was to score the lighting bolt on the blank paper, which limited the ability to move stuff around, but on the plus side i did not have to erase to create the bolt. Also added a few birds on the lower right to add more balance . Love these opportunities. Thank you for doing them! Stay safe. Ps… like last week, unable to upload image from my android tablet.
here is one that’s related to the Lightening subject. sorry for uploading the robin drawing. LOL
I drew this on Queeky website.
Here’s my preparatory drawing for this episode. I look forward to seeing all the great lightning drawings to come!
