Lol I forgot I already posted this one! Ha!
Here’s my toucan… I got his body placement a little less angles than it should have been, but it was a fun subject!
Used the Strathmore colored pencil paper for the first time.
nice i like that background
nice work on this
I did this after the live show. I had used this same bird as part of a larger painting for boss a few years ago. I used this time graphite in a Bristol paper sketchbook. I feel the urge to continue to work on it.
Started with graphite. Couldn’t get dark enough so added some charcoal. Beautiful Toucan. Thank you Scott
Enjoyed this one.
Wonderful work with this, Meenal!
Very nice work!
Wonderful work with this, Pia!
Great job with this, Monica!
Very nice! I like the quality of light in this drawing!
This looks great, Nathalie! I’m happy to spend more time talking about compressed charcoal the next time we use it. Thanks for the feedback!
Grüezi Scott,
Thank you for the instructive drawing lessons. You give me great pleasure. It is very motivating to finish a sketch every week. Thanks again. I’m already looking forward to the ballerina and hope to be able to take part in it despite the corona vaccination.
A relaxing weekend and kind regards Pia
I really enjoyed it
I used vine charcoal and charcoal pencils on white paper. The feet tripped me! Just couldn’t get them right. Thank you so much for the time and energy you are giving to these sessions. Each of these sessions is a learning experience on many levels.
Once again it’s not the kind of subject that I would have chosen but it opened my mind to other horizons.
The next time we will use compressed charcoal pencil during the show is it possible to talk a little more about this medium? I’m not used with it and I found it very dark is it possible to make graded marks or to shade it without leaving permanent marks? What make you switch from wine to compressed charcoal when you draw?
Thank you I had a lot of fun!
Funny how the ones that seem like they’ll be easy … are not. Lol. My angle axis is too straight in line with the paper, like I commented on the live session. Oops.
I used gray toned paper . Good subject!
Awesome!
Very nice! Nice tonal range here.
This looks great!
Beautiful work!
Here is my drawing. I used manila paper
Loved the toucan! I used graphite on white paper. Thanks, Scott for an awesome session. See you next week!
Here’s my toucan. Those little feet are hard.
Thanks
Rather challenging – I went for tonal definitions
Painted this a long time ago in Acrylics. I will draw your Toucan soon.
