Take Texture to a New Level
Creating textured and layered abstract art has never been so easy or fun. In Texture Techniques for Abstract Art, Jodi Ohl will guide you, and student Amy Jones, through the creation of 3 abstract paintings from start to finish. You’ll begin by exploring three different texture mediums that will serve as the foundation for your art. While you’ll explore color, balance, line work and pattern in Jodi’s exciting and experimental style, you’ll also be encouraged to add your own personal flair to your work.
In this video you will:
- Create 3 abstract paintings from start to finish.
- Learn about glass beads, modeling paste and crackle glaze.
- Try color mixing and glazing techniques.
- Make visual texture with patterns and painted layers.
- Finish your paintings with self-leveling gel.
