Description
Paint in the Zen State of Mind
In the spirit of what’s at the heart of creating art, Jodi Ohl’s Zen Painting Workshop soothes your artistic soul through a “zen-full” painting experience. Jodi Ohl will encourage you, and student Amy Jones, to go beyond the doodle and work on unique artist grade hard surfaces while exploring how to take your pencil, pens, inks and paints to a new abstract level. After a session of testing your supplies, you’ll move on to the first painting—a set of four small pieces that connect to each other with lines and shades of gray that dance across each piece. Then you’ll take what you learned and create a larger piece with a pop of color. Finally, create a colorful abstract work where you’ll make the most of a limited color palette and your newfound signature line work.
In this video you will:
- Create 3 paintings from start to finish.
- Work on Gessobord.
- Create a cohesive design across multiple pieces.
- Make marks with a variety of supplies.
- Layer acrylic paint for depth and dimension.
