Description
Create stunning compositions in every painting!
Richard begins Part One of this workshop with an overview of the elements of compositional design, showing you examples of artwork that illustrate his points. Next, you’ll review a variety of different composition formats. Review the angle of vision, how it relates to format, and take a quick lesson on perspective. Then, work through shapes and values, plus the placement of objects, to create a strong composition.
In Part Two, you’ll complete three thumbnail sketches to establish your composition. Then, two color studies will help you choose your color scheme for the piece. Finally, a composition review will recap what you’ve learned.
